Hee Jung Nam, Ju Duck Kim, Sung Rye Gang
Abstract
Despite the splendid advance in Western medicine, there is a growing concern for alternative therapy as a way to boost a natural healing power and strike a balance between the body and mind. A variety of skincare methods have been utilized by skincare clinics to keep up with the trend. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of aroma skincare among customers who had ever received aroma skincare service and factors related to that in an effort to step up the development of aroma skincare. The subjects in this study were 305 people who were in their 20s to 50s and up, received aroma skincare service and resided in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Daejeon, Choongcheong Province, Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province. They included students, company employees, homemakers and selfemployed people. After a survey was conducted, the collected answer sheets were analyzed to find out their awareness of aroma, satisfaction level with aroma skincare, preference for that and satisfaction level with additional services. The above-mentioned findings suggested that in order to raise customer satisfaction, aestheticians should be expert enough to provide accurate information, and that skincare clinics should take the quality of their overall services to another level.
