Research Paper : Colorfastness and Physical Properties of Dyed Hair by Using Red Acidic Hair Dye

Abstract
This study was performed to assess the colorfastness and physical properties of red semi-permanent coloring hair(RSC-HR) by the repeated washing, friction, daylight, alkali and acidic perspiration solution. As a result, colorfastness were decreased higher alkali perspiration solution than others according to repeating treatment. The tensile strength of dyed hair was decreased dependent on repeating treatment. The elongation rate of dyed hair was be lengthened when it was washing and daylight, but it was reduced as the alkali and acidic perspiration solution was treated. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the processing of repetitive chemical and physical treatment increases variation of color difference and hair damage.
