Research Paper : The Classification of Major Courses in Beauty-related Departments at Two-year Colleges

Abstract

This study is to understand the distribution of each major and curriculum subjects by classifying current titles of beauty (hair, skin care, nail, make-up) related departmentand established subjects of majors in the curriculum mainly with the homepage of 78 schools of 2-year colleges. As a results, the title of Skin Beauty Department was mostly used and the second and the third mostly used was Beauty Department and Beauty Coordination Department. As a result of classification of category of established subjects of major, the most school appeared to operate in the field of hair ``Scalp Hair Treatment Theory and Practice``, in the nail field ``Basic Nail Art``, in the makeup field ``Basic Makeup`` in the skin field the subject corresponding to ``Dermatology``. This study is expected to be used as basic material for operation of curriculum of beauty related department.
