Abstract
The purpose of this study was effect of manual technic and high frequency on body composition, blood lipid composition, stress of selfconsciousness, and cortisol hormone level in abdominal obese women in age from 30 to 50. The subjects were divided into manual technic group with 10 women and high frequency group with 9 women for 8 weeks. The manual technic group results show decreases in body weight (p<0.01), body mass index (p<0.05), fat mass (p<0.01), waist circumference 1 (p<0.001), waist circumference 2 (p<0.001), waist circumference 3 (p<0.001), waist to hip ratio (p<0.05), and triglyceride (p<0.05). The high frequency group results show decreases in fat mass (p<0.01), percent body fat (p<0.05), waist circumference 1 (p<0.01), waist circumference 2 (p<0.001), waist circumference 3 (p<0.05), waist to hip ratio (p<0.05), and triglyceride (p<0.05). Also, the manual technic group results show decreases in cortisol hormone (p<0.05) and stress level (p<0.001). But the high frequency group is not significantly cortisol and stress level. Manual technic was also found to be helpful for blood circulation and nerve relaxation, also changes the density of cortisol hormone. The data suggest that abdominal obese women can benefit from manual technic therapy.
