Research Paper : The Classification and Sensitivity Analysis of Aroma Essential Oil Based on Odors Evaluation

Abstract
The study classified representative essential oil used in the current aromatherapy through sensitivity evaluation on the odors and analyzed characteristics by type and sensitivity difference. The study method was aiming at 220 people and made them evaluated the sensitivity of the odors to self-record survey. Looking into the research result, first, structure elements of odors sensitivity were composed of three elements: attraction, strength, and modernness. Second, aroma essential oil types were divided to 5 groups and 8 sub groups. Group1 was composed of virile, cool, and stimulating sensitivity oils including basil, patchouli aniseed and etc. Group2 which gives cool and calm sensitivity was composed of clary sage, ylang ylang, tea tree and etc. Group3 which gives repulsive, stimulating, and pastoral was composed of cedarwood, vetiver, fennel and etc. Group4 which gives attractive, fragrant, and modern feeling was composed of grapefruit, bergamot and etc, and group5 which gives warm and calm sensitivity was composed of orange and rose. Third, in the result of positioning essential oil, X-axis could be named as fragrant-repulsive and Y-axis could be named as cool-warm.
