Abstract

This study was conducted to figure out how a diet of red ginseng has some effects on the improvement in neck skin of married women in their 30s~40s who the aging starts to proceed. Experiment group took red ginseng extract of 6g by the original a day for 12 weeks. The average variations of neck moisture after red ginseng diet showed that experiment group and control group increased by 27.4% and 5.8%, respectively, 21.6% more the increase rates of neck skin moisture in experiment group than control group. The average variations of neck skin melanin figures showed that experiment group and control group increased by 12.5% and 55.1%, respectively, 42.6% less neck skin melanin figures in experiment group than control group. The average variations of neck skin erythema figures showed that experiment group decreased by 16.4%, but control group increased by 23.9%, difference in a surprising 40.3%. The average variations of transepidermal moisture loss figures in neck skin showed that experiment group decreased by 22.1%, but control group increased by 22.6%, difference in a surprising 44.7%. The average variations of viscoelastic figures in neck skin showed that experiment group increased by 29.3%, but control group decreased by 0.8%, difference in a surprising 30.1%. Likewise, a diet of red ginseng was effective in improving the neck skin conditions of married women. Consequently, it is considered that a diet of red ginseng will be a great help to improve the neck skin aging of married women.
