| Abstract |
|
The solvent extracts of Prunus persica Flos were investigated for the activities of cosmeceutical to apply as a functional ingredient for cosmetic products. For its industrial application, the cosmetic products were also prepared with the advanced formulation techniques such as liquid crystal (LC) and W/O/W multiple emulsion (ME) so that the active ingredients can be entrapped stably in the LC or ME particle. The results of stability test showed that the LC and ME containing P. persica Flos extract were very stable at accelerated temperature conditions. In addition, optical microscopy, pH, viscosity and particle stability of each LC and ME did not change greatly for 30 days. The cosmeceutical (DPPH, tyrosinase, elastase, collagenase, hyaluronidase) activities of the LC and ME containing P. persica Flos extract were statistically significant results. |
