Research Paper : A Study on Deconstructive Hair Style Appearing in Collections - Focusing on Haute Couture and Pr?t- -porter Collections between 2006 and 2011 -

Abstract
This study focuses on deconstructive philosophy of J. Derrida and examines disde phenomenon, indeterminacy, and intertextuality among the characteristics of deconstructive expressions in hair styles presented by Derrida, in comparing the works of deconstructive designers Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gautier, John Galliano, Christian Dior, Yohji Yamamoto, Viktor & Rolf, Comme des Garcons, Manish Arora and Vivienne Westwood appeared in collections(Haute Couture and Pret- -porter) in between 2006 and 2011. As a result of examining characteristics of deconstructive hair styles appeared in Haute Couture and Pret- -porter collections between 2006 and 2011, de-phenomenon appeared the most in year 2008 followed by year 2010 and 2011. In addition, the designer who expresses dephenomenon the most was John Galliano, followed by Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, and Jean Paul Gautier. Indeterminacy appeared in 2011 the most, followed by year 2009 and 2008. In addition, the designer who expresses indeterminacy the most was Christian Dior, followed by Jean Paul Gautier and Yohji Yamamoto. In terms of intertextuality, it appeared in 2006 the most, followed by year 2007 and 2011, and the designer expressing intertextuality the most was Christian Dior, followed by Alexander McQueen and Yohji Yamamoto. Therefore, from such a result, Christian Dior, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garcons, Manish Arora, Viktor & Rolf and Vivienne Westwood` works show application and advancement of deconstructive tendency in various ways, by transcending time and spaces and deconstructive way of expressions establishes its place as a part of social and cultural phenomenon.
