Research Paper : Effects of Foot Reflexology Therapy on Foot Print Types

Abstract
Purpose
. The purpose of this study is to examine foot print types and demonstrate the efficacy of foot reflexology therapy on health careby comparing foot print types before and after treatment. Methods. Eighteen students` reflex points were examined by foot type for 60minutes a week for 15 weeks from September 3 to December 10, 2012. Foot Impression System(APEX) was used and a visual analysis and a quantitative method were applied to analyze foot print types before and after treatment. Results. Most of the subjects complained of neck pain, weak kidney functions, a slanted shoulder, abnormal reproductive functions, weak digestive functions, back pain, and twisted pelvis before treatment. After treatment, a big toe and the body was connected more and neck pain was alleviated. A slanted shoulder indicated by an arch curve went under the body was also mitigated. Improved kidney functions were shown in clearer and more distinct appearance of a little toe. Back pain indicated by angled connection between lateral mid foot and heel, and twisted pelvis indicated byangled connection between medial mid foot and heel was alleviated. A little toe bent into the direction of the fourth toe was corrected and reproductive functions were improved. A mid foot arch became clearer and digestive functions were improved.
