Study on the Change of Dark Brown and Blonde Hair by the Treatment of pH

Abstract
The morphological change of the structure of DBH(dark brown hair) and BH(blonde hair) was comparatively analyzed after treating with pH buffer solution to search for the method of physicochemical improvement and the improvement of treatment. The overall purpose is to provide fundamental resources for the beauty industry and the educational circle. The following are the major findings of the analysis in this study: When DBH and BH were treated with the pH buffer solution for the comparative analysis of the change in the hair``s chemical structure, the thickness decreased more for BH after being treated for 60 minutes. Absorbance, represented by the O.D. value, was increased for DBH and the tensile strength decreased more for BH. In the FE-SEM observation, BH hair treated with the pH buffer solution for 60 minutes was more damaged than DBH did.
