Research Paper : The Hair Style Behavior by Stress of The Adolescents

Abstract
The purpose of this study has been set as verifying whether stress that are identified as effective variables of adolescent hair style behavior have effect on the various hair style behaviors (individuality, conformity, aesthetics and convenience). The data have been gathered using questionnaire from September 2, 2013 to September 14, 2013 targeting 500 adolescents living in Gwang-ju. After distributing 500 questionnaires, 474 copies have been collected and 463 copies excluding 11 questionnaires with incomplete response among the collected questionnaires have been used for the final analysis. SPSS for windows 20.0 Statistics Package has been used for the analysis of data while frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, t- test. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the stress has been classified into 4 factors called friend stress, family stress, appearance stress and learning stress. the hair style behavior has been classified into 4 factors called individuality, aesthetics, convenience and conformity. And Stress has been shown as having significant positive (+) effect (p<.001) on the entire hair style behavior. Second, statistically significant difference (p<.001) in the hair style behavior as the stress group of the adolescents. Third, The stress and hair style behavior of adolescent on the gender and school, partially significant difference.
