The result of a basic experiment suggested that Hinoki cypress oil was nontoxic and dose-dependent and inhibited nitric oxide production. The application of Hinoki cypress oil group showed a decrease of T-zone sebum(p<.05), appropriate U-zone sebum, and an increased of T-zone(p<.05) and U-zone(p<.01) hydration, stress index, suggesting a significant result. The Hinoki cypress oil + lymph drainage group showed a decrease of T-zone sebum, an increase of U-zone sebum(p<.01), and an increased of T-zone(p<.01) and U-zone(p<.05) hydration. So using Hinoki cypress oil with lymph drainage suggests that it will be usefully applied to a skin care program.
