| Abstract |
|
This study purports to analyze to see how beauticians` personal competence and psychological capital would influence their job performance, in order to find ways to improve those personal advantages. The data for this research were obtained through surveys. Following an initial preliminary survey, the main survey has been carried out to collect the base material for this research. The base material represents responses of some 280 beauticians working in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The survey included questionnaires to draw material for frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. As a result of these analyses, this research has come to the conclusion that personal competence and psychological capital are direct factors affecting personal job performance. On this conclusion, the following steps can be suggested to improve those personal advantages. Firstly, the salon educates a delegate through an established institution, and through this person the rest of the group is re-educated. Secondly, set up a high goal and reward those who achieve. Thirdly, run regular meetings to correct previous problems. Fourthly, members performing below the required level are re-trained by senior members. Fifthly, the salon will be benefited if new staff employment is made by means of examining applicants` psychological capital evaluated through questionnaires. This study incurs future studies, such as an assessment of the influence of the leaders in the workplace on the followers` work achievements, in view of the followers` personal competence and psychological capital. |
