Effect of Nettle Extract on Antibacterial Property and Scalp Improvement |

Abstract |
The antibacterial activity of six microorganisms of human skin pathogens such as S. aureus, E. coli, P. acnes, B. sutilis, P. aeruginosa, P. ovale was analyzed by using nettle ethanol extract. In addition, by producing a toner that contains 5% nettle ethanol extract and applying it two times daily in the morning and the evening to the parts appeared on 74 targeted people where those symptoms of infection, itching and dandruff were observed, The improvement effect on scalp has been analyzed through survey and studies have been proceeded about its improvement effect on scalp. From the result of analysis through nettle ethanol extract, the antibacterial activity has been observed for skin pathogens of P. acne, B. subtilis, P. aeruginosa that exist on the skin. Through the comparison of before & after the use of nettle extract toner according to the symptom of scalp, the scalp infection greatly has shown both positive reaction and negative reaction(p<.05). It has shown a high satisfaction in the dandruff symptom(p<.05), and it has not shown a large change in itching. |
