Differences in Job Perception, Development Expectancy and Job Involvement depending on Demographic Characteristics of Hair Service Industry Workers |

Abstract |
This study aims to provide basic data for an approach, which is appropriate for characteristics of organizational members and find a specific measure for internal reinforcement by analyzing differences in job perception, development expectancy and job involvement depending on demographic characteristics of hair service industry workers. This study targeted hair service industry workers in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Choongbuk area and finally, 300 questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. The study findings are as follows. First, in relation to demographic characteristics and job perception, there were significant differences in each groups. Second, in relation to demographic characteristics and development expectancy, there were significant differences in welfare system-, job- and relationship-oriented development expectancy. Third, in relation to demographic characteristics and job involvement, there were significant differences in age, monthly average income, position and years of service. Therefore, there is a need to join social responsibility activities, or establish a wage system that guarantees minimum wages and improve role division or fluid working system at an organizational level, for promoting positive perceptions of organizational members and reinforcing job involvement. |
