The Awareness Level in High School Students on Beauty Contract Department and System - Focusing on Vocational High School Students - |

Abstract |
This study is aimed to strengthen academic ability in students of a high school conformed to industry demand and an specialized high school, thereby having chosen students aiming at the admission to college simultaneously with the employment among graduates-to-be in vocational high school students. The awareness level on the beauty contract department showed a statistically significant difference in a decision of the admission to college (p<.01). As a result of examining the perception level of the beauty contract department according to a plan of the admission to college following the graduation, a statistically significant difference was indicated (p<.01). In consequence of figuring out the recognition level of the beauty contract department depending on whether or not having ever thought about entering the beauty contract department, a statistically significant difference was shown (p<.01). In light of these results, the beauty-related department can be grown into a university tailored for students, but requires the public relations. The beauty contract department is available for learning more skills. How the contract department can be entered is not known. Information is also lacking. High school students are short of consultation, too, on the beauty contract department. There is an institutional problem as well about the country and the cosmetology college. Just employment is forced by the vocational high school. Hence, the Work First-then to College has very few choices and is being selected with not being known well. The career decision and the work first in South Korea rely on parents or a teacher`s information and assistance of being restricted. Even the country is considered to need to provide more information on the department of university relevant to a job to vocational high school students, along with actual field trip and prior education. |
