A Study of Using SNS Beauty Information According to SNS Utilization of Female College Students in Gwangju Area

Abstract
Nowadays, the importance of SNS is emphasized in the field of beauty, where consumers are involved in a high part, and analysis of the main consumer group is an important factor for marketing. Thus, this study was conducted to investigate use of SNS-beauty-information according to the using SNS, by conducting online and self-filling questionnaire surveys on female-college-students living in Gwangju. In addition, a general characteristic was analyzed by SPSS v.21.0 and the use situation was analyzed through frequency analysis. To find out difference in SNS-beauty-information usage, one-way ANOVA was performed and through the Scheffe's multiple range test, a significant difference was tested at p <.05. The results of this study were as follows: First, 'Difference in using SNS-beauty-information by general characteristics' showed significant differences in grade, major, and monthly-allowance. Second, 'Difference in using SNS-beauty-information by actual use of SNS' showed a significant difference as the use time, the number of friends, the number of contact with beauty information, interest, and practicality increased. Therefore, the use of SNS-beauty-information was higher in the higher grades, the major in arts and physical education, the higher allowance, the higher use of SNS-beauty-information, and the higher utilization time, number of friends, the number of information contact, interest and practicality. Based on this, if the marketing method is applied according to the use of SNS-beauty-information of female college students, it will be an important opportunity for growth and continuous development of the beauty market.
