The Effects of Earthworm Autolysate on Bleached Hair during Cherry-red coloring

Abstract

In vivid cherry-red coloring, pre-bleaching is needed for Korean hair. However, hair is often damaged during this process, making it hard to keep hair color last long. To take care of this issue, samples were prepared as follows: cherry red-colored hair (control group), cherry red-colored hair after pre-treatment of earthworm autolysate on bleached hair (pre-group), colored hair with the mixture of cherry-red dye and earthworm autolysate (mixed group). After coloring bleached hair in cherry red once and 3 times, L^*, a^* and b^* values were measured to analyze color retention by shampoo frequency (1-20 times).
