This study aims to collect basic data for a possible application in Chinese bridal makeup, thereby providing the cornerstone for mutual understanding and exchange among ethnic minorities in China-through comparison and analysis of the characteristics of traditional bridal makeup in the Uyghur, the Tibetan, the Miao, the Gaoshan and the Korean chosen on the basis of their population distribution and density, which plays a key role in understanding the current trends which traditional customs and culture of marriage in China go along.
