Cellular Activities of Abelmoschus manihot Jinhuakui Extracts Extracted from Water based Alkaline Solvent

Abstract

In this study, flowers and stems were extracted with Ethanol and water based alkaline solvent (1M NaOH) for the possibility of functional cosmetics raw material of Abelmoschus manihot jinhuakui. The results of the water based alkaline solvent (1M NaOH) extracted Abelmoschus manihot jinhuakui flower extract (WF) and stem extract (WS) and ethanol extracted flower extract (EF) and stem extract (ES) are as follows. All extracts in MTT assay had low or no toxicity to skin cells. In the production and degradation effect of NO, WS showed 57.14% inhibitory at 250.00
