Effects of Skin Care Behaviors and Appearance Satisfaction on the Lifestyles of Women in Shanghai

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of lifestyle on skin care behavior and appearance satisfaction of women living in Shanghai, China.As a result, it was found that it had a negative effect on appearance satisfaction according to lifestyle. As a result of checking whether lifestyle affects appearance satisfaction by mediating skin care behavior, it can play a role of mediating skin care behavior in relation to lifestyle influence on appearance satisfaction.In addition, according to skin care behavior and general characteristics, age had a negative effect on appearance satisfaction, and educational background had a positive effect on non-parent care behavior. When looking at lifestyle and general characteristics affecting appearance satisfaction, marriage had a negative effect, and education, monthly income, and lifestyle had a positive effect.According to general characteristics, there were differences in lifestyle, and according to age, lifestyle showed F=248.372, p<0.001, and the most significant difference was found in each age between 20 and 29 years (4.02). According to the general characteristics, the difference in appearance satisfaction was found to be F=20.491 and p<0.001 according to age.
