Abstract |
In this paper, I have studied on the process of hair growth in terms of hair structural form by comparing the existence of hair cuticle and medulla, size of them, and Rate of Hair Diameter according to the ascending ages based on the microscopic observation on the shape of the end of hair. Average diameter of the hair for one month old infant is 0.035mm, for 6 month old infant is 0.068mm, for middle school girl student is 0.080mm, and for adult women is 0.089mm. Through the microscopic observation on the shape of the end of hair, the shape of it for one month infant is like a sharp-pointed, sleek staff, and cuticles were not formed yet. For 6 month infant is that cuticles are formed, but the interval between cuticle and cuticle is wide. For both middle school girl students and adult women, the cuticles are clearly formed. Medulla is not found in the hair for one month old infant. But, it is found from 6 month old infant at the center of section of the hair, and it is clearly found in the hair for middle school girl students and adult women at the center of section of the hair. Medulla ratio for one month old infant is 0%, for 6 month infant is 10.11%, for middle school girl students is 13.35%, for adult women is 22.78%. Rate of Hair Diameter for one month old infant is 88.73%, for 6 month infant is 76.76%, for middle school girl students is 79.02%, for adult women is 77.90%. |
