Research Papaer : Cluster Analysis of Beauty Service Shops

Abstract
Nowaday the beauty service market has expanded into one of major areas of total beauty industry. It contains various beauty services including beauty hair shop, make-up, skin care, nail art, and aesthetic plastic surgery. New entrants of this market have already started to provide a lot of differentiated services from existing competitors. Which makes competition of the beauty service market be more tough than ever before. However there are few academic studies even if lots of marketing practitioners have been paying more attention to dramatic changes of the market. In this paper, we conducted a cluster analysis to identify the competition patterns among the beauty service shops. The analysis shows that the beauty service shops can be classified into 6 types.
