Abstract
Minerals play important roles in biological processes. They can cause diease through deficiency, imbalance and toxicity. Many chronic dieases may be realted to mineral status. The measurements of body mineral status are usually done for body fluid, hair mineral analysis method showed potentiality as a useful clinical tool. The study has been conducted using methods for classification by age morphology intended for 70 patients in hospital in M clinic, for efficient management fo hair loss. The conclusions showed that hair loss was affected more by acquired, such as inheritance and over secretion of sebum, currently known as main causes hair loss. Male and Female pattern alopecia results from deficiencies of sodium(Na), potassium(K), copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), iron(Fe), manganese(Mn), and selenium(Se). The Calcium(Ca) concentration of Male pattern alopecia(MPA) is lower than female pattern alopecia(FPA). The phosphoous(P) and sodium(Na) concentration of FPA are lower than MPA. In Age distribution, the sodium(Na), Potassium(K) and iron(Fe) concentration in 40`s are lower than 20`s and 30`s. The zinc(Zn) concentration in 20`s is lowest. After analyzing, we concluded that a compounded treatment should be conducted, which considers the variety of factors which can account for hair loss.
