Research Paper : The Effects of Franchised Hair Shop CEOs` Charismatic Leadership on Performance

Abstract
The purpose of this study, "A study on the influence of charismatic leadership on success from CEOs of franchise hair shops", was to come up with a scheme for revitalization of hair shop organizations and rationalization of human resource management. The difference with preceding research is that, it studied if charismatic leadership has a positive effect on a new object, the relationship between a CEO of hair shops and designers. Also, various leadership research was limited only to consider psychological variables like satisfaction or engrossment as a success measure of leadership. Therefore this study considered financial success along with the psychological success variables. First of all, the study verifies both the indirect and direct effect of charismatic leadership on success. Especially, the study tries to show whether charismatic leadership has control effect over skill ability, which is a characteristic of the employee(designer) and a important factor in the hair shop. This variable has a critical influence on the success of the shop. Meanwhile, interest on personality variables that influences charismatic leadership have recently increased. We also conducted research to understand the role of the representative personality variables, Big Five type, as a preceding variable. The evidence is that even in a hair shop context, charismatic leadership has a positive influence on organizational success. Also, this has a control effect on skill ability, which is a specific variable in this industry.
