Research Paper : The Effect of Male Politician`s Appearance Characteristic on the Image Formation -Focused on the Make-Up and Hair Style-

Abstract
This study is implemented to know the effect of forming countenance by images of political man and characteristics of perceivers on the basis of the theory of perception. The method of research is designed to experimental research. The questionnaire is composed of demographical questions, gender, age, residence, and occupation and meaning differential scale of 16 sheets impulse and 7 points scale are used to see the factors of facial image. The subjects are 494 persons from 20 to 56 years old resident in cities. Material collection was completed May and June in 2005. Instrumental tools and reasonability were tested by group discussion of experts. Main gradients and Varimax spin method were used to show the factor of facial image and demographic structure. According to independent variables, analysis and Duncan range test are implemented to see the difference of facial image. T-test is implemented to see difference of facial image with demographical characteristics. The result of study factors of countenance are assession, political feature, competence and visuality. The facial image of political man has a significant effect on countenance. From the above results, make-up, hair style, hair color political man are used as clues of perception of politicians. The result of this survey shows image making instructions to political.
