Research Paper : A Study on the States and the Prospects of the Domestic Beauty Service Industry

Abstract
The field of beauty industry is dependent on its interior and exterior environment thus causing intense competition of its rapid industrialized, superiorised and standardized aspects. Since 1990 with the introduction of beauty associated courses within colleges and through its establishment, it can be observed that there has been a keen increase in the quantity of education. Therefore the establishment of the scientific and objective education materials and data is very needed. The specific research objectives were as follows. The size and the present state of the beauty service industry related statistical data will be examined and using this as a background, the industry`s quantitative and qualitative changing phases were observed. Outcomes of the research are as follows. The beauty service industry`s size, monthly average income and expenditure data, beauty stores, population and the trustworthy presentment of the statistical data as basis of the inferred result of 2007 national annual expenditure was 3800 billion Korean Won, the comparison of the consumer`s expenditure of the remaining items (food, clothing and shoes) showed that there was a continual growth. Also the estimated sale per store (annual average sales approximating 31million Korean Won, monthly average sales approximated 2million 6hundred thousand Korean Won) showed an unparalleled weakness in the industry once these values were collected in the market field, verifying the increase in number of businesses caused economic growth to take place. Alternatively, the changing phases of qualitative was largely becoming industrialized, superiorized and standardized.
