Young Soo Bae
Abstract
This study is to define how the service education of beauty salon workers affects Service Orientation. It is believed that the service education of beauty salon workers, especially in today`s increasingly competitive service industry, deserves a scientific research for the maintenance of effective service quality, the promotion of service differentiation and their interrelation. Based on this scientific approach, the study is also to present further suggestions and find out how the concept of Service Orientation, in which the previous researchers have advocate, has been applied. The result of the study is, from the viewpoint of Service Orientation, the beauty salons should employ appropriate service workers, and make further efforts to provide them with service education. Also, it is found that the management of the service industry needs to make more efforts to help the employees promote their psychological satisfactions, for example, interest and passion, sense of achievement and reward, self-esteem and pride for their work. In order to serve this goal, the management needs to develop a support system to monitor the employees` psychological satisfactions as well as the middle management service leadership and use their service education as the internal marketing strategy.
