Abstract

The purpose of this non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental study was to analyze the effects of the aroma massage on abdominally obese middle-aged women`s physiological indices, depression and concern with look. For this purpose, the researcher sampled 40 women aged between 40 and 60 who were living in J-city and who had understood the purpose of this study to agree to participate in the study, and then, divided them equally into test and control groups. This study was conducted from December 15, 2008 until March 2, 2009. The data collected were processed using the SPSS Win 12.0 program for real numbers, percentages, means, SDs, x2-test, independent t-test and paired t-test.
