Jung Sin Park, Soo Kyung Kang
Abstract
This research applied a subjective assessment tool for skin analysis in order to assessthe feeling after using skin toner, cream and a mask for 100 female students of a university located at a city `K`, and the analysis results are as followings. 1. As the assessment term for subjective skin analysis of the group using skin toner, the term showing the most good skin feeling was `moist` among `thin`, `soft`, `silky`, `transparent` and `moist`(p<0.001). For the assessment factor of skin toner, the most positive factor after using skin toner was `moisture` among the factors of `sebum`, `sensitiveness` and `complexion`. 2. As theassessment term for subjective skin analysis of the group using cream, the terms showing a good skin feeling were `moist`, `sleek`, `soft` and `sleek` among `sticky`, `resilient`, `transparent`, `insensitive`, `healthy complexion` and `lively`(p<0.001). For the one after using cream, the negative factors were `moisture`, `sensitiveness` and `complexion` among `sebum`, `elasticity` and `skin texture`. 3. As the assessment term for a subjective skin analysis of the group using a mask, the terms showing the good skin feeling were `white`, `moist`, `silky` and `transparent` after using it among `soft`, `thin`, `white`, `resilient`, `sleek`, `healthy complexion` and `lively`(p<0.001). For the one after using a mask, the positive factors were `complexion`, `elasticity` and `moisture`, but a mask acted as a negative factor on `sensitiveness`. As a result of this research, the feeling using cosmetics depends on the kind of basic cosmetics for skin care. Accordingly, it is thought that this research will be able to be sufficiently used as a subjective, assessment tool to assess the effectiveness and feeling of cosmetics.
