Research Paper : A Study on the Relation Between Make-up Behavior and Face Satisfaction, Self-Efficacy of Male College Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find that relation between make-up behavior and face satisfaction and selfefficacy of the male college students. The study was to survey 203 male college students living in Daejeon on 4 general characteristics questions, 5 make-up behavior questions, 5 face satisfaction questions, and 10 self-efficacy questions and processed through SPSS vers 17 for statistic. 1. Most of the male college students used basic skincare cosmetics (91.6%) and functional cosmetics (91.0%) and we discovered that 38.1% were using color make-up cosmetics. In addition, we`ve discovered that the male college students use lotion (45.5%), sunscreen (40.3%), BB cream (15.3%), and concealer (9.7%). 2. We`ve discovered positive attitude (44.0%) on the need for basic skincare cosmetics for male college students, negative attitude (41.6%) and neutral attitude (41.6%) on the need for color make-up cosmetics. Wanting skincare behavior and color make-up behavior was both ``when there was skin trouble (49.0%, 27.3% respectively). 3. Based on studying the difference of cosmetics usage rate based on age, major, residency form, pokect money and general characteristics of use, the age and major had significance difference. 4.The need for make-up behavior had positive response from those who had experience in the cosmetics and had negative response from those who had no experience in cosmetics. 5. The face satisfaction, self-efficacy and make-up behavior has very weak correlation.
