Investigation of Preferences, Behavior and Purchase Attributes for Domestics and Overseas Cosmetics in General User Group and Beauty Expert Group

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the preferences, using behavior and purchase attributes for domestics and overseas cosmetics in general user group (GUG) and beauty expert group (BEG). 215 Subjects and 210 subjects are grouped into GUG and BEG, and were asked to fill out a questionnaire by self recording method. Statistical data were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 program. In the results, the cosmetics manufacturing country that 76.7% of GUG and 68.6% of BEG use was Korea, and they perceived France as the most expensive, luxurious and the best quality cosmetics manufacturing country. 26.0% of GUG and 29.5% of BEG answered that Korea makes cosmetics with next best quality. Over 96.0% of two groups have heard of korean herb, natural and general cosmetics, 69.0% of two groups were using general cosmetics, and more than 61.0% perceive moisturizing effect very important. Regarding skin cosmetics, BEG perceive the difference among korean herb, natural and general cosmetics, cosmetics effects, ingredients and raw materials more important than GUG. Both groups used domestic cosmetics most in the order of cleansing cream, skin toner, essence, whitening and anti wrinkle. BEG perceived moisturizing effect of skin toner and essence, and GUG perceived anti wrinkle effect as the important. Under36.7% of both groups didn``t have a side-effect during the cosmetics using. In conclusion, efficacy of skin cosmetics may be very important role in purchase attributes, and packing design of high preference overseas cosmetics brand may be analyzed for the increase of domestic cosmetics consume and export.
