Abstract |
In practice, serious skepticism has been raised concerning the effectiveness of traditional training tools, like rubber plate, mannequin, etc., used for beginners' mastering the semi-permanent make-up skills. The purpose of this study is to suggest an alternative approach with a newly developed make-up machine, which makes it possible for trainees to practice a procedure, and compare its effectiveness to increase their proficiency with that of the aforementioned methods. Another conventional drill to use the devices and needles on a real face, widely recommended in education, may leave serious side effects, e.g. acute pain, skin hurt, coloring skin cells, etc. On the contrary, Guider Machine and pin Guider Technique developed in the study helps trainees work out the virtual procedures of semi-permanent make-up on real faces without worries about any side effects. Moreover, we find the non-fatal shape of needle edge, the optimum RPMs (revolutions per minute) of machine running and the appropriate density of pigments: which is expected to contribute to maximizing the effects of trainee's learning semi-permanent make-up as well as the efficiency of procedures in field. |
