A Study on the Determinants of Beauty salon Franchise Performance |

Abstract |
Recent trends in consumer preferences toward quality products, individualization and convenience have led to the proliferation of beauty salon franchise. Despite the increasing importance of beauty salon franchise academic studies of beauty industry has not been researched. The purpose of this research is following. There is to know which factors influence on a performance of beauty salon franchise. Based on the findings in previous studies, we have identified a variety of antecedents for the beauty salon franchise performance. A performance factor variables can be grouped into five major categories such as franchisor characteristics, franchisee characteristics, franchise-relationship dimension, demand characteristics and competitive dynamics. The questionnaire survey was conducted among 100 beauty salon manager but 71 data used in analysis. An analysis method was used regressional analyses. The result of this survey as follows. The performance of a franchisee would improve (1) When the store enjoys locational advantages, (2) when the financial capability of the franchisee is substantial, (3) when the level of conflict between the two parties is low, (4) when the magnitude of consumer demand is considerable. With that in mind, we offer theoretical and managerial implications in light of the study findings. It is hoped that this dissertation research will help academics and practioners and improve their understanding of the beauty salon franchise management. |
