A Study on the Efficiency of the Skin Improvement of Air Brush as a Homecare Device using Adenosine

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of adenosine, Anti-wrinkle cosmeceutical ingredient, on skin wrinkles improvement and physiological activity using an Airbrush among homecare devices. Middle-aged women were asked to apply 3 mL of ampule containing adenosine 0.04% to the face twice a day, once in the morning and the other in the evening, for 4 weeks. The control group (C) was asked to apply using hands while the experimental group (E) was asked to apply using Airbrush. Moisture content significantly increased in all facial regions of E, and TEWL decreased, they were relatively effective for moisturizing the C. In terms of degree of improvement of wrinkles, the functionality of adenosine components can be confirmed, as both C and E show significant reductions in the size and depth of the main wrinkles. The higher improvements in E are considered to have proven the effectiveness of Airbrush. E is thought to have improved more than C, proving the effectiveness of the airbrush. Additionally, the reduction in a* and -b* in both C and E is considered to be the derived usefulness of the skin due to the increased thickness of the skin by an adenosine mechanism that promotes collagen generation. A significant reduction in a*, especially in E, is attributed to the reduction of the skin temperature due to the utilization of the airbrushes, resulting in the contraction of capillaries and the soothing effects of skin. In this study, the effectiveness of the airbrushes was verified by spraying liquid specimen with an airbrush to ensure that they are applied evenly with the physical pressure and with small particles. It is recommended to study the further verification depending on the shape of the specimen and the air brush air pressure.
