A Study on the Preparation for University Examination of Students Admitted to Department of Cosmetology |

Abstract |
This study investigated what applicants for department of Cosmetology have prepared before entering universities and how it influenced satisfaction after entering universities. Verified findings from these study hypotheses are summarized as follows. First, the hypothesis that application motive may affect university examination demonstrated that preference motive as a subfactor of application motive did not affect the examination. However, it had positive impacts on preference. Second, they hypothesis that application motive will affect department satisfaction found that preference motive as a subfactor of application motive showed negative impacts, yet it was rejected due to the absence of significance. However, it affected positively on preference influence. Third, the hypothesis that university examination will affect department satisfaction confirmed that school as a subfactor of university examination was rejected and private institute showed a positive influence. Therefore, this study intends to propose the following recommendation to activate cosmetics-related education in middle and high schools. Institutional support is indispensable to carry out a joint operation of special cosmetics programs between middle, high schools and universities along with active educational strategy in a single middle and high school. |
