Research Paper : The Influence of the Sexual Objectifcation Experiences and Attitude Toward Appearances, Body Monitoring Clothing, Weight Control, Skin Care Behavior by Mediating Through Body Shame

Abstract
The Purpose of this study examined the impact of sexual objectification experiences and attitude toward appearances, body monitoring of female college students in their 20s on clothing behavior, weight control behavior, and skin care behavior by mediating body shame. The data research was conducted from August 19, 2014 until September 20, 2014; as for data analysis method, descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis were carried out using SPSS WIN 20.0 and AMOS 19.0 to verify variance sampling index, concept reliability and mediating effect. The study result demonstrated that sexual objectification experiences had an impact on clothing behavior through body surveillance, and that sexual objectification experiences had an impact on weight control behavior as the attitude toward appearance mediated body shame. In addition, sexual objectification experiences had an impact on skin care behavior through the attitude toward appearance.
