Abstract

In order to examine terms for the traditional make-up, this study arranged terms found in the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty recorded in the era of Joseon. The terms representing the traditional make-up can be divided into those with specific or comprehensive meanings, and the former can be again sub-divided into those depending on cosmetic forms or instruments.
