This investigation was performed for male and female university students in Seoul from December 11th to December 25th in 2006 and the questionnaires are related to a demography trait, eating habits, skin condition and preferenc. As for male students, the best purpose of skin care is for sexual attraction (18.8%). However, in case of female, the prevention of troubling skin (17.0%) is the main purpose of skin care. They prefer a professional care shop or a dermatological clinic to address their concern of skin trouble. However, because of expensive costs, they are usually using cosmetic stores (81.9%). Students with Oily skin (10.8%) and mixed (Oily & dry) skin prefer taking intensive skin care to improve their skin trouble (14.3%). The statistical data show that the students having bad eating patterns or deadly trouble skin type devoted theirselves to managing their skin. In smoking and drinking habit, female students had lower frequency than male students. However, in skin care, female students had higher frequency than male students. In case of older students, they could not retain their skin clearly. Accordingly, the professional care shops have to look for a great instruction of skin care and development of program, considering what the students need.
