Abstract |
The results of non-infusive skin tests on forehead, cheek, chin, in terms of the amount of moisture, oil and pH will be measured. The degree of the horny layer moisture loss and variation of skin condition through questionnaires after applying foundational cosmetics products which contain umbrella pine extracts are as follows. The results of applying the products containing the umbrella pine extracts, the amount of moisture on the skin of forehead, cheek, and chin is higher in the experimental group. The amount of oil is higher on the skin of forehead and cheek in the experimental group, but it is higher on the skin of chin in the experimental group. The difference is not very significant. The value of pH was also higher on the skin of forehead, cheek, and chin in the experimental group, but it also was not significant. The degree of the horny layer moisture loss is higher on the skin of forehead, and cheek in the experimental group, while it is lower on the skin of chin and inside arm areas in the control group. This paper shows that when the skin is treated with the products containing the umbrella pine extracts, the moisture degree is increased and the oil degree is decreased, the water loss of the light skin is decreased, while the general condition of the skin is improved particularly when considered by the questionnaires.
