Research Paper : A Study on Weight Control Behavior, Body Attitude, and Obesity Stress of a Women`s University Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze weight control behavior of a women`s university students and investigate the relationships of BMI(body mass index), body attitude, and obesity stress. To achieve the purposes, a questionnaire was conducted to 309 female students from December 1 to December 22, 2010. The final data were analyzed with spss 17.0 program. The results were as follows. First, there were significant difference of BMI and obesity stress by weight control behavior. Second, there were significant difference of body attitude and obesity stress by weight control behavior. Third, there were significant difference of body attitude and obesity stress by BMI. Forth, there were significant correlation of BMI, body attitude and obesity stress. Thus, it was found that weight control behavior is related to obesity stress as well as BMI and weight control group had negative body attitude than the rest.
